Privacy Policy

Overview
Inland Table ("we", "us", or "our") operates inlandtable.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We take privacy seriously and collect only what we need to operate the service.
Information We Collect
Information you provide: If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message. To limit spam we also keep a one-way hash of your IP address with the message; we cannot recover your IP address from it, and we use it only to count how many messages a single visitor sends in an hour.
Email newsletter: If you sign up for our occasional email newsletter, we receive your email address, along with the same kind of one-way IP hash described above, used only to limit repeated signups. You are not subscribed until you open the link in the confirmation email we send you, and every email we send includes a link to unsubscribe. If you never confirm, we send nothing further.
Photos you add: To add a photo to a listing you sign in to an account. We store the photo with your account, along with the caption, the time you agreed to let us show it, and any note you add about what it shows. If you choose to be credited, your display name is shown with the photo; if you do not, the photo reads "Photo from a visitor" and your name is not shown. We remove location data from the photo file when we process it. You can ask us to remove a photo at any time through our contact form.
Automatically collected information: When you visit the site, our hosting provider (Vercel) and analytics tools may collect standard web log data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL. This data is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
No account data: Inland Table does not currently require user accounts. We do not collect names, passwords, or payment information from visitors.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to inquiries and support requests
- To monitor and improve site performance and reliability
- To understand aggregate usage patterns (which pages are popular, how users navigate the site)
- To detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
Inland Table uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Vercel — hosting and edge network
- Supabase — database and backend services
- Resend — email delivery (a copy of each contact-form message is emailed to us, and newsletter confirmation emails are sent through it)
Cookies
We use minimal cookies necessary to operate the site (session management, preference storage). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not function correctly.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions are retained as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and are then deleted. Newsletter email addresses are kept while you are subscribed; if you unsubscribe, we keep the address marked as unsubscribed so that we do not email you again, and we will delete it entirely if you ask. Server log data is retained for up to 90 days.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
